Epson Apps are unable to find a printer on the network in iOS14

Issue:

When searching for a network printer using some Epson Apps on iOS14, the search fails. This is due to new app permission settings in iOS14

Solution:

  1. Ensure that you accept the “Ok” option when the following message appears, when attempting to connect to a product.

  2. Ensure the product and iOS device are on the same Wi-Fi network
  3. Check that local network services are on in the setting screen, for the Epson app you are using. To check this do the following;
    • Go to settings.
    • Locate the Epson app you are using in the list of install app and tap on it.
    • Ensure the “Local Network” setting is turned on, if not tap on the option to enable it.
